Biography

Through the original research I've done for 30 award-winning books translated into 24 languages, I know a lot about several subjects especially time management and productivity, work relationships, business writing, work-life balance, friendship, and how to write, sell, and promote a book. I am an energetic, high-content, informative, and inspirational speaker and trainer, dedicated to assuring that those who attend my presentations, whether it’s a keynote or a workshop, take away memorable ideas as well as concepts that are actionable, that will make a difference in their work and/or personal lives. By sharing one-of-a-kind anecdotes, examples, and exhaustive research, as well as through interactive activities or exercises, when ppropriate, each and every keynote address, workshop, or training is time well spent for attendees. I bring to my presentations the attention to information and detail of a college professor-- I taught for many years at colleges and universities including Penn State and the University and Connecticut-- and the performance skills of someone who studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Gene Frankel's workshop.

Testimonials:

"Based on the feedback from my meeting attendees [to the program on time management], which ranged from those in academia (i.e. students & faculty) to private industry and government workers, I would highly recommend Dr. Yager as a seminar speaker, workshop leader, or training coach."  Dr. Dawnielle Farrar, Johns Hopkins University, Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, MD

"Jan Yager spoke at the June Corporate Chicks breakfast in Melbourne, Australia. She was fantastic, one of the best speakers we have had. The feedback I received from the chicks that attended was overwhelming. They loved her! The session was interactive, fun and gave us some new perspectives on friendships. I would love to host Jan again at future events as she was so inspiring."--Jodi Adams, Managing Chick, Corporate Chicks Australia

"Jan Yager provided a keynote presentation on "Who's That Sitting at my Desk? How to Succeed by Mastering Work Relationships" for the Military Librarian's Workshop. Approximately 250 individual representatives of the military, Department of Defense civil servants, contractors, and commercial vendor groups attended the conference. The insights Jan shared provided a good start point for the conference and the day. Her enthusiasm sparked others to consider how they might incorporate some of the concepts into their own library setting. The presentation also provided some specific experiences that could be used and reflected upon by the librarians attending. Jan was a large factor in the success of the conference and her presentation was mentioned many times in the evaluations as one of the highlights of the conference. She has earned our gratitude and appreciation."

--Sandy Bradley, Workshop Host

"Dr. Yager presented a terrific and insightful time management seminar to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The audience was our Academic Affiliations office and they were all impressed with the content and delivery of the program. In the months since the program was delivered, I have checked with the participants periodically to find out if the material has stayed with them. Everyone to whom I have spoken has used a large portion of the techniques they learned in Dr. Yager's presentation."

--Jim Pritchert, training administrator

"Thank you for putting a 6 hour seminar into a 1 hour presentation. Great job!"

--John Cardinal, Risk Manager, MTV Network

--Ellen L., New Jersey

"Thank you for providing such a professional experience for our participants in our one-day workshop on personal development."
