Biography

After having been hit by a car at 17 years old -while on a bike- , following several surgeries, JD was told he would never be able to run again.

After several other career ending events and accidents, through years of careful gradual training and reeducation, JD was able to come back  against all odds, to win several national/international medals in Track & Field.  JD has a passion for self  improvement and coaching. He is still competing in his 40's at national/international level.

His story is an inspiration for perseverance, faith, and an example for all ages. JD has successfully been able to balance: Work, Career, Family, Sport, Community Involvement and has a motto to reflect his aspirations in life: -"Better than winning”-. It consists in evaluating success through ethics, hard work and personal improvements,  being satisfied with doing our best rather than comparing overall performance with others. JD has a passion for helping young people realize their potential

Background: JD was born in France, Raised in Switzerland,  worked in 5 different countries, now father of 5 and lives in Colorado Springs

Diploma: License STAPS in Physical Education from University of Grenoble (France),  Bachelor is Spanish from Southern Utah University, Master in International Management from Thunderbird.

Athletic achievements: 6 National/international podiums, including a silver medal at the Master Olympic games in Sydney. 6 times "All American" nominations
