Carol Andrews is a parent, journalist, author and speaker who inspires others to unlock unlimited potential by combining hard work and humor.
Carol Andrews is a true mixed bag of talent. She is a twenty-year television news veteran who took six years off to put family first.
Carol left the main anchor chair at WGHP-TV, High Point, NC, in July, 2002. She wanted to be at home with her son. She also wanted to explore other dreams. As a result, she is publishing books and conducting inspirational talks and workshops.
Life changes pushed her back into TV, but in a different way. In 2008 she returned as a freelance news anchor for WFMY-TV, Greensboro, NC.
Freelancing afforded the opportunity to continue her pursuit to inspire others with a tried and true map to success.
“By example, I want to empower others to follow their dreams,” she says.
Her first book, The Giggle Wind, illustrated by North Carolina illustrator Steven M. Cozart, met with rave reviews. Her second book, Speckled Angels, is currently making its way into homes and schools across America. For this book she collaborated with another North Carolina illustrator, Idalia Canter of Pfafftown, NC.
“The best part of this,” says Carol, “is that I have more of a say in the direction my life is taking. I am this open canvas, trying to live the life God would have me live.”
As a speaker/coach, Carol takes a common sense approach, laced with laughter, to inspire people of all ages to be their best. From children to CEO's, she has helped audiences find tailored solutions to often difficult subject matter.
The key, Carol says: Be Grateful, Be Respectful, Be Kind and Be Willing to Laugh!
"It's hard work, but the payoff is unlimited, Carol Andrews Unlimited!"
