Be on the lookout for this e-mail scam targeted to professional speakers:

The following shares the scammer's responses to questions sent by the speaker in order received. Similar to scams in the past, the scammer is pushing the speaker to pay for a work permit through their personal contact,  Linda Jacoline. 

"Do contact Ms Jacoline, She will lead you through the process as she has done in the past." I bet she will!

  As a United States Citizen , you do not require a visa to come into our country South Africa, However being paid for this event is referred to as " working" and you are hereby referred to as a temporary worker and you hereby need a work permit.we do have a member of our Church who works with the South Africa Embassy liaison office in the USA, She can help with the easy perusal of your work permit document, she has helped with this in the past. Do let us know if you need her contact.

We will be paying for your airline ticket from our end , all we will need is for you to confirm if you will be coming with an accompanying person and then we will proceed with the airline and hotel booking. 

  Yes the event is to be held for three night and you will be the first and opening speaker at this event, Thus you will be part of the team that will be launching the New Church auditorium . We will like to know if you have any special requirement to aid your presentation, We do have a Projector , Sound system , Wireless microphone , Apple laptop. Do let us know if there is anything you need to aid your presentation. 

  Our simple goal for this conference is for our guest to go home thinking positive about themselves , they should be inspired and motivated and they should believe that in no matter situation they are in , no matter the economic or world situation , they can have a headway .

  No your accompanying person does not require a work permit or visa ,he or she will be stamped for 90 days on arrival ,same with you as well ,but since you are paid for this event and you will be the speaker you do require a work permit . Did you get the information and contact details of Linda ? The person that can help with easy perusal of your work permit document .

Your presentation will be for 60-90 minutes including question and answers session . 

  Yes we will like you to bring some of your books,If you give us the title of your book ,we will advertise it in our weekly magazine and let you know how many copies we will be needing . 
  We will be waiting for the name of your accompanying person so we can proceed with flights and hotel arrangements .

  Yes it is possible for him to travel a day or two after you , That way we will be booking two different hotels room for you two . Yes we will be paying for your both tickets as its our standard process to pay for our guest and his or her international person expenses as well .

We had an issue last year with one of our international speakers who thought the same thing, He was accosted by the country's immigration on the day of his speech and it was a huge embarrassment and a bad image on the Church, thats why we want any body speaking at this event to have the necessary working document, that is why we believe Ms Jacoline can be of help as she has done in the past . 

  Yes , if you give us your airport of departure , preferred time and full name as it is on your passport , we will make the hotel payment. We believe you have received the Hotel confirmation .
