Biography

Dwight Edwards is a best selling author, professional speaker, and senior pastor of WatersEdge Community Church/Houston. He has authored three books - "Revolution Within", "Releasing the Rivers Within"(both published through Random House); and "A Tale of Three Ships"( published through Bright Sky Press) His latest book - "A Tale of Three Ships" - won the prestigious "Champion of Literacy Award" for 2009.

Formerly a professional tennis player and having spent more than 25 years in ministry, Dwight brings a wealth of experience and wisdom in dealing with human behavior and peak performance. He has spoken for the last 30 years throughout the U.S. and many parts of the world. He has given presentations at Yale, Princeton, Vanderbilt, Rice, Texas A&M, The Air Force Academy, West Texas A&M, Mary Hardin Baylor, U. of Houston, and many other universities and High Schools.

As well he has spoken to myriads of businesses and governmental agencies including Norton Ditto Clothiers, Ben E. Keith Foods, Chesmire Homes, Salvage Sales. Inc., Colorado State Patrol, 911 Operators/Houston, Pasadena Police Dept., National Chef Convention, Literacy Advance, ChildBuiders, etc.

He is the co-founder of HighOctanefortheMind.com , a company dedicated to helping individuals, companies, and teams achieve peak performance. He authors a bi-weekly email service entitled "High Octane for the Mind – reflections on peak performance and extraordinary living."

A graduate of The University of Mary Hardin Baylor, he has three grown sons – Stephen, Jordan, and Brandon.
