Charlotte Stallings is nationally known as an astute yet humorous expert on finances and leadership. She learned everything the hard way; now she inspires and energizes audiences with her personal insights and down-to-earth guidance about maneuvering the money maze, and success in life.
While she's taught hundreds of audiences how to "get smart" over the years, she began her career as a financial expert from a very personal desire to help her family. She says growing up in poverty helped her become a "scrappy, go-getter type person."
From these humble beginnings, Charlotte gained expertise in the nuts and bolts of business: sales, marketing and leadership at powerhouse corporations such as U. S. Banks, Xerox and over 20 years at American Express. Charlotte excelled to become V.P. of Investment Strategies and a National Spokesperson for Ameriprise Financial (formerly American Express Financial Advisors), where she developed a sales and marketing initiative to help women investors throughout the U.S. By taking risks, making mistakes and gathering information, she grew into the kind of expert that you can trust.
She has quite a knack for sharing even the most complex business and investment concepts in a thoroughly understandable way. As a member of the “sandwich generation” - baby boomers charged with caring for themselves, their children and their parents - Charlotte is acutely attuned to the financial needs and challenges facing today’s families. Her goal is to help people understand money and investing, and show them how to structure their financial lives and investment portfolios to achieve their dreams - regardless of what's happening with the economy.
She has been featured in many television and print media outlets including CNN and The Wall Street Journal.
Her book, I Wish Someone Had Told Me: Financial Lessons Learned The Hard Way, will be published in 2009.
