Terry began his career as an advertising copywriter and account executive in
Northern California. He has taught Improvisation in San Francisco, Los Angeles
and at Hartnell College in Monterey County. He was also a television writer in
Los Angeles and play write in the San Francisco Bay Area. He believes that our
creativity and spontaneity are our greatest resources. His focus is in working with
people to help them motivate and inspire others by taping into their own
authenticity and enthusiasm.

Terry is Founder and President of CommSkills Group, a communication and
presentation skills training organization. CommSkills Group programs are an
integral part of many leadership and employee development programs across the
country. He has over 25 years experience in communication skills training. His
focus is on changing the way people and business communicate. Terry also
serves as a communications coach for high-level executives across the country.
His unique approach is all about leveraging the power of the spoken word using
your own unique natural style and authenticity.

After attending the University of California at Davis and receiving a degree in
Applied Behavioral Sciences with an emphasis on communications, Terry has
had the opportunity to work with Fortune 1000 companies developing the
communication skills of their people. His expertise includes large group
presentations, speeches, executive coaching, communication selling skills,
communicating change, defining corporate values, setting company goals and
call center effectiveness.

His passion is in identifying and developing individuals’ communication skills so
that they can have the greatest impact on their listeners while making a human
connection. To be an effective communicator and motivate others to action one
must develop his/her ability to communicate effectively in any situation. Terry
believes that great leadership is predicated on the ability to communicate,
motivate and inspire. And we are all leaders.
