Social responsibility…embracing cultural and generational diversity in the workplace and customer base…going green…cutting edge communication…social media…employee and client retention…all today’s hot topics yet part of the very fiber of Suzi both professionally and personally.

When Suzi speaks on these issues it is from first hand experiences and her current business practices.

Suzi is the second generation, President of Capitol Realty Company, a leading real estate firm in Newport RI, where for over fifty years they have enjoyed the success that comes with a reputation of exceptional client service.

With a sales force that spans three generations, Suzi can speak from experience, to the rewards and challenges of such. Capitol has been a leader in social media thanks to the skill set of the younger members and a power house of closers thanks to the mentorship of the more seasoned agents.

Both social responsibility and green initiatives have always been an intricate part of the culture at Capitol. An active partner with the local community Capitol created and hosts “Living Green In Newport” an information hub that includes forums and a website to promote a healthy environment and economy, along with supporting local non-profits and organizations, Capitol champions local artist and invites them to hold art openings in their offices.

Personally Suzi’s passion and deep commitment to support organizations that work to foster a better world has lead her to sit on more local and national boards and commissions than anyone in their right mind would ever admit to, let alone do. It was also the catalyst for the creation of Bring Peace Not Pain, a self funded initiative that promotes Peace and Global Citizenship through a film and speaker series, programs for schools, various peace challenges and an interactive website. Currently Suzi holds an appointment to the National Board of Realtors Culture Diversity Committee, is a member of the Board of Trustees for St. Michael’s Country Day School and Chair of the Diversity Committee and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.

Suzi, a self confessed type A, ADD personality with an abundance of energy often finds her passion and commitment leading her further than expected

…such as taking her from just wanting to clean up local beaches to winning a seat on the city council.

…or from blogging about peace and within six months finding herself at Sundance Film Festival where she was invited to speak with filmmakers and stars such as Kevin Bacon, ZZ Top, Liam Neeson and Chris Rock on peace and global citizenship.

…or that when she began oil painting as a means of relaxation it would lead to her paintings being acquired by Disney for the movie “Dan in Real Life”.

Suzi’s broad and rich base of knowledge and experience allow her the credentials to speak authentically on a variety of topics relevant to business, non-profits, student and personal empowerment. Her passion, humor, energy and conviction allow her the ability to transform audiences, she will give people the power, the permission and the tools to be agents of change…in their lives, their businesses and the world!
