Dr. Blackston is a board certified Head and Neck Surgeon who has a mission to spread the word about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, paying attention to Mind, Body and Spirit by incorporating strategies learned in the coaching curriculum. Her main goal is to educate in a manor that is entertaining to help the participants retain the information. Dr. Blackston will work with you to make her presentation as specific to your group as possible.

In 2008, Dr. Blackston presented three 90 minute Power Point breakout sessions titled "Stress Management" at the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service's 9th Annual Diversity Conference. The presentation was rated excellent by 97% of the participants. Dr Blackston presented "7 Steps to Optimum Health" at the 2009 Diversity Conference. She presented " Chronic Inflammation and Its Effect on Health" at the 2010 Diversity Conference for the USDA.
Dr. Blackston was part of a panel discussion for the NBC4 Your Health booth at the National Council of Negro Women's Black Family Reunion on the Washington Mall. This included a TV segment on NBC4 Viewpoint, a Sunday morning news program. The subjects were "Overcoming Obstacles in Life by Preparing for Opportunities" (9/08) and "How to Make Your Dreams Come True...Creating a Positive Future by Making the Most of Opportunities"(9/07).
Also, in 2008, Dr. Balckston presented to a Veteren's group "Be the Best You That You Can Be" targeted to recently returnng veterens from Iraq and Afghanistan.
