What’s in a name? Well, according to Kimberly Watt, there’s power in her name!

A watt is an International System of unit of power that is equal to one joule of energy per second. A joule is the work done, or energy expended, by a force of one newton moving an object one meter along the direction of the force. A newton is the unit of force that is required to accelerate an object in any direction.

Kimberly Watt’s energy level behind her powerful message is expended by the force of her passion for helping people realize their dreams, thus accelerating that individual’s thinking in a positive direction, taking them to new levels in their professional careers and personal lives!

Her heart for seeing corporations and organizations, groups and individuals, parents and even children take responsibilities for themselves, and having a positive attitude towards breaking through fear and doubt to accomplish goals and fulfill dreams is what fuels Kimberly’s passion. She understands the significance of individuals facing their fears and doubts head on, because for many years, fear of success held her back from reaching her own dreams – but not anymore!
Having trained under Les Brown, as one of his Platinum Speakers in his network, and now sharing the stage with him, Kimberly skillfully commands an audience with the same dominance of a quiet storm. In addition to Les’ guidance, she continues to sharpen her skills as a member of Toastmasters International. These two associations have enabled Kimberly to not only position herself as an illustrious and motivating speaker, but to align her talents in the media sector as well.
In September, 2007, Kimberly co-created and began hosting a weekly radio program on Radio One called, "The Total You; How To Re-Invent Yourself!" heard Saturdays from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, on WCHB 1200. She is passionate about the family and female-related topics she discusses, which has proven instrumental in generating such a dedicated audience of faithful listeners.

Kimberly holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Michigan in Dearborn. After years of owning and operating a small business that provided personalized songs for children, one of her motivating factors in finally becoming a public speaker was to demonstrate to her three children that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to. Her children have also been privy to other positive examples set by their mom. For instance, in 2006, Kimberly and her children were featured in "First Magazine," a magazine for women on the go.

When not speaking or hosting her radio show, this Detroiter’s favorite pastimes have included volunteering at religious and homeless shelters in her community as well as coaching several high school basketball teams. What she enjoys most, however, is simply nurturing her children alongside her very supportive husband, and childhood sweetheart, Mark.
