Biography

John McPherson is a leadership and management consultant in Salinas, CA. John has 25 years business leadership experience covering operations, process improvement, staff optimization, project management and marketing. 

John and his wife Christina have two children, Fiona and Carson. Both John and Christina's parents had a great influence in their up bringing, which helped them define how they would parent their children. John has observed over the past ten years how many parenting trends have strayed from the principles he and Christina have found to be successful, and this has led him to write Ten Simple Rules for Being a Parent in a World Turned Upside Down.Also, In his career John's experience has shown time and again that effective leadership is the key to success, and he has seen the worst of leadership and management skills, as well as the best. While there are thousands of books, articles and essays published on Leadership, to be effective you have to keep it simple! John again has boiled it down to 10 Rules.

John attended the University of Southern California,  and is active in many community initiatives.
