A Proven Track Record

Dr. Dilip Abayasekara is a professional speaker and trainer with an award-winning background in communication, leadership, and sales. He is the author of the highly acclaimed book, The Path
of the Genie...Your Journey to Your Heart’s Desire. As a graduate of the “Integrity Selling” System and as a stellar salesman in a number of industries, he has received such honors as top rookie salesman, super star salesman award, and top charge sales associate.
As an accomplished speaker, Dr. Dilip was twice a finalist at Toastmasters International’s World Championship of Public Speaking, placing second in 1992. He is also among a small number of Toastmasters who have received accreditation by Toastmasters International for professional level speaking skills and outstanding contributions in public speaking. In August 2005, Dilip was elected to a 1-year term as President of Toastmasters International, the world’s leading organization for helping people develop communication and leadership skills.
Dr. Dilip also serves as Special Assistant to the President of Central Pennsylvania College. He is an adjunct faculty member of Eastern University’s School of Professional Studies in the area of Managerial and Interpersonal Communications.
Born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Dilip attended college in the United States, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of Florida and a Ph.D. in Organic and Polymer Chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. After working for 12 years as an industrial scientist, he surrendered to his avocation—connecting, influencing, and enriching others— through the power of the spoken word. His goals are to deliver tangible value, exceed audience expectations, and make meeting planners look good!
