Biography

Chien J. Wang was born in Taipei, Taiwan.  Chien immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 11, and did not speak a word of English.   He started doing odd jobs for neighbors, and had a paper route to help the family’s finances. 

Chien soon learned how to overcome adversities such as lack of money, language barrier, and different prejudices by being more determined than everyone else.  Chien graduated from University of Southern California’s Entrepreneur Program. He had started two successful businesses. He launched Toujours Products, Inc. at the age of 22 with $4,000 he had saved in college.  The company distributed awards and personalized gifts to hundreds of retail outlets in the U.S. 

In 2004, Chien started Award Elements, LLC which is a retailer of promotional products.  He was able to utilize his networking skills to attract the most desirable customers and doubled the business in his second year when the entire industry declined during that period.

Chien is the author of It’s Who Knows YOU!  Network Your Way To Success.  The book is for anyone who would like to improve his or her networking and relationship building skills.   Chien shared all of the secrets and techniques to marketing, personal branding, customer retention and meeting the right people in his book.
